What is a bookmarklet?
Bookmarklets are links that you can add to your bookmarks bar or favorites in your web browser. They are the easiest way to submit articles to Story Follower.
How do I install my bookmarklet?
Firefox
- Make sure the "Bookmarks Toolbar" is visible. If it is not, go to menu View > Toolbars.
- Drag this link: +Story Follower
up to your Bookmarks Toolbar.
Internet Explorer
- Make sure your "Links Toolbar" is visible. If it is not, right click on any part of the menu bar and make sure "Links" is checked.
- Right click +Story Follower
and click "Add to Favorites"
- Be sure to save the favorite in your "Favorites Bar" or "Links" folder so that it appears in your toolbar.
Safari
- Make sure the "Bookmarks Bar" is visible. If it is not, go to the menu View > Show Bookmarks Bar
- Drag this link: +Story Follower
up to your Bookmarks Toolbar.
Chrome
- Make sure the "Bookmarks Bar" is visible. If it is not, choose "Always show bookmarks bar" from the Tools menu.

Opera
- Make sure the "Personal bar" is checked under View > Toolbars.

iPhone
To use our bookmarklet on the iPhone, first follow the applicable directions above on your computer, then synchronize your bookmarks. The Story Follower bookmarklet will be available on your iPhone under your "Bookmarks Bar."
Now that I've got the bookmarklet, what do I do with it?
Whenever you are reading an article that you would like to submit, simply click the bookmarklet and you'll be brought back to Story Follower. We will do our best to read the page and come up with a title and description.
This isn't fool-proof, so we offer another option. If you like to be more in control of your submission information, use your mouse to select the article text before you click the bookmarklet; the artcile description will be pre-populated with whatever you selected when you get to Story Follower.
